If you've never heard of the Backyardigans your life is dull, or you work too much, or have no children between the ages of 2 and 5... or you may be like me having a 3 year old grandson named Eli and we watch this Television show diligently almost every evening right before dinner...we laugh and dance together for a half hour and totally love it...It's a brilliant animated musical adventure series aimed at young kids and it's one of my favorites, along with the Big Band Theory and Modern Family...OK, I'm no TV 'Addicto' but I watch a few shows...
The characters, the Backyardigans, are five young 'kid' animals...a penguin named Pablo, a moose named Tyrone, there's Uniqua and Austin unidentified animals and Tasha the hippo...
As the play in their back yards their imaginations take them (a walking distance away for them) to far away jungles with volcanoes, Hawaiian beaches with awesome surfer dudes, Texas cattle drives with horses and ho-downs. These little guys sing and dance their ways in and out of danger every single time with their adventures always happily ending by walking next door to their own back yards.
